See attached flier for general tryout info for next year at AMS.Remember, in order to try out, students must have a current physical on-file with a building nurse & complete the ‘26-’27 Athletic paperwork on Healthy Roster once available.

AMS Track Tryout changes

Due to the weather forecast on Mon & Tue, the AMS Track tryout schedule will be modified, as follows:Mon 3/16 -- 8th graders only:  Girls in College gym; Boys in Annex gym -- 3:30-5:00pmTue 3/17 -- 7th/6th graders only:  Girls in College gym; Boys in Annex gym -- 3:30-5:00pmWed 3/18 -- 1st cut group:  Girls in College gym; Boys in Annex gym, but then both should be prepared for time outside -- 1:30-3:00pm (early dismissal day)Thu 3/19 -- Cut group:  Girls in College gym/outside; Boys at West Stadium (meet in College gym lobby to catch the bus) -- 3:30-5:00pmFri 3/20 -- Cut group:  Girls at West Stadium (meet in College gym lobby to catch the bus); Boys in Annex gym/outside -- 3:30-5:00pmIn order to try out, you must have a current physical on-file with your building nurse (you can call or email to verify).  An activity bus will be available each day for those that need it; please sign up with your floor clerk during the day.

AMS Boys & Girls Track Info

Congratulations!!

Some athletic success last Sat, with 7th grade VB winning their opening round Regional match vs Roxana.  They'll be taking on Edw-Liberty today at 4:30pm. Our Wrestling team finished in 2nd place at the Cahokia IESA Regional.  11 individuals advanced to Sectionals this Sat in Jacksonville.  They are: 3rd place qualifiers:  Joey Schwank, Gavril Loidimu & Rayne Henry2nd place finishers:  Gavin St Peters, Sawyer Wock, Jayden Williams & Lilian MintonRegional Champions:  Landon Wilson-O'brien, Blake Jones, Jake Wilson & Nyjhaun Powell

Competition Cheer squad qualifies for ICCA

Congratulations to the Alton Middle School Cheerleader Competition Team for qualifying for the Illinois Cheerleading Championships and placing 3rd in their division. They will be competing again next Sunday in Edwardsville for a higher title.
